The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are very versatile phones. They have Dolby Surround stereo speakers, which let music fans and film lovers enjoy an immersive experience. Between the Quad HD and the sophisticated camera, these phones are a great option for photography enthusiasts too.
It’s not surprising that Galaxy S9 and S9+ users tend to store a large number of media files. But what happens when you start running out of storage space?
Android Apps To SdImportant Specs
How much storage do you have to work with?
In the US, the base storage you get with both the Galaxy S9 and the S9+ is 64 GB. Both models come with a microSD slot with a capacity of 400 GB.
![]() How to Transfer Files and Apps to Your microSD Card
Using a microSD card is a convenient way to solve your storage problem. It is a good idea to move your large media files to your microSD. However, you should make backups for anything that’s vital.
You can also move some of the apps you use to the SD card, although this isn’t true for all apps. You may get an error message if you try to transfer the wrong app to your card. Of course, you can’t use the apps in question when you remove the SD card.
But how does the transfer happen?
To open the card tray, use the ejector tool that came with your phone. If you lost the ejector tool, you can also use a paperclip. Place the card gently into place and then close the tray.
Reach the Apps icon from your home screen by swiping up or down.
How To Save Apps To Sd Card
You can locate your apps as well as your files in this folder. The files are sorted by category. You also get information about the remaining storage space on your phone.
After you’ve found the file you want to move, tap on it and then hold. This gives you two options.

If you are planning to use your SD card primarily for backup, select Copy. If you want to free up space, go for Move. Compaq presario v3500 bluetooth driver for windows 7 free download.
Choose the SD card option and then find the location where you want to place your files. After this, select Done. You can’t use apps or files while they’re being transferred.
Automatic Saving to SD Card
After your phone recognizes your SD card, there will be a slight change in the way some of your apps work. Certain apps will let you automatically save data to your SD card rather than to internal storage. This is usually a good option to take, though you should keep in mind that saving to your SD card may slow down your app.
Few More Important Things
Your Galaxy S9/S9+ gives you the option to encrypt your SD card. If you worry about data security, this can be a good idea. On the other hand, you can’t unencrypt it from a different device, so you’ll lose the data if your phone breaks down.
But the most important security consideration about SD cards is that they’re easy to lose. Don’t rely on your SD card for storing files you can’t replace. Back up important data to a PC or an online storage platform.

In our previous articles, we showed how to change the default install location of apps in Windows 10 as well as how to change the default install location of desktop programs. In this guide, we will see how to move an app installed from Store to another drive, SD card or USB drive on a Windows 10 PC.
![]()
As you likely know, with default settings, when you install an app from the Store, the app is installed in the system drive (drive where Windows 10 is installed). By default, Store apps are stored under UsersYourUserName AppDataLocalPackages directory.
Move apps installed from Store to another drive, SD card or USB drive in Windows 10
If the drive where Windows 10 is installed running out of disk space or is low on disk space, you can consider moving apps installed from Windows Store to another drive, USB drive or SD card to free up some disk space. Since Windows 10 officially supports moving apps installed from Store to another drive, you can move apps without any issues.
Given that Windows 10 allows changing the default install location of Store apps as well, this feature makes it possible to have all apps on a drive other than the system drive.
As said earlier in this article, this method can only be used to move apps that have been installed from the Windows Store and can’t be used to move default apps like Photos, Groove Music, and Edge that are part of the operating system.
Also, this method doesn’t support moving traditional desktop programs like Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. In order to move desktop applications, please refer to our how to move installed programs to another drive in Windows 10.
Steps to move Store apps in Windows 10
Follow the given below directions to move an app installed from Store to a different drive, USB drive or SD card in Windows 10.
How To Move Unmovable Apps To Sd Card
Step 1: If you plan to move apps to USB drive or SD card instead of a different partition or drive on the internal drive, please connect the USB drive or SD card, and make sure that the USB drive or SD card is appearing in This PC.
Step 2: Open up the Settings app either by clicking its icon in the left-pane of the Start menu or using Windows logo + I hotkey.
Step 3: Once Settings launched, click the first icon titled System.
Step 4: Click Apps & features to view all installed apps from Store as well as traditional desktop programs.
Step 5: Click on the app that you want to move to another drive to see Move and Uninstall buttons.
NOTE: You can’t move traditional desktop programs using this method. Also this method doesn’t support moving apps that are part of Windows 10. For instance, you can’t move default apps like 3D Builder, Alarms & Clock, App connector, Calculator, Camera, Films & TV, Groove Music, Maps, Mail, Money, News, OneNote, People, Phone Companion, Photos, and Store apps.
Step 6: Click Move button, then select the drive where you want to move the app to, and then click Move button. You will see Moving text when the app is being moved.
If you ever want to move back the app to its original drive, click on the app again, click Move, select the system drive and then click Move button.

I recently updated to Android 6.0 and made my new 64GB SD card as adoptable storage. Unfortunately, as per here:
Apps can be placed on adopted storage media only when the developer has indicated support through the android:installLocation attribute. Download video masha and the bear terbaru bahasa indonesia full.
This is problematic since I only have roughly 4GB of internal storage and some of these unmovable apps are quite large.
I tried saving it as player4.hki as well as overwriting player3.hki, and using player0.hki but in none of these cases the actual new mapping was used - but it did seem to change slightly. The thing is that I am trying to install an azerty layout, and still q and a and z and w (among others) are switched, even after installing these new files. Can anyone provide a guide on how to correctly install these files, even when player.hki files already exist? Age of empires ii hotkeys.
Without going into partitioning the SD card into 2 and using Link2SD/Apps2SD, is there a way to move these unmovable apps? My device is indeed rooted so that should hopefully help.
Edit: In reply to the user1871, and also I will add: I already put all those things on the SD card. Right now I have roughly 1 GB free in the internal storage. Also I do not want to uninstall anything. When I used DiskUsage to see what was using up a lot of the space, it was the data/app folder which contains a whole bunch of unmovable things such as base.apk, lib and oat folders.
These types of unmovable files is what concerns me since they will quickly add up and overtake my free 1 GB. I just want to find out a way I can move (or at least create symbolic links to those files after putting them into the SD card) without using Link2SD type apps. I'm leaving doing that as a last resort since formating an adopted SD Card will result in me having to factory reset my phone :(

You just need a free app to do this without root. Please note that this does not work for preinstalled apps (like Google Play Books, etc.)
App: APK Editor
Open the APK editor and choose 'Select APK from app'. Choose your app from the list that will appear and select 'Common Edit'. Change the 'Install Location' field to 'External Preferred'. Click Save and then Install. (you may have to uninstall it first.) You will now be able to use
Settings/Apps or your preferred app manager to move the app to your SD Card.

Apps like Link2SD/Apps2SD can be falsely miss interpreted, apps once installed can have extra data moved to the sd card but a main portion of the app like the launcher will need to remain on the internal storage. there for a app cant be 100% on the sd card. you can set apps to auto install on the sd card but they still need a part on the internal. id suggest move any media pics, videos, music ect on the sd. uninstall any unneeded apps
